WordTotz

WordTotz is a fun and customizable educational iPhone/iPad app for toddlers and preschool age children that helps them create their own flash cards of objects and people that are important to them.


Flashcards are a fun and effective way to teach children new words and concepts. A unique feature of WordTotz is that it can be personalized to a child’s individual interests and environment. You can create flashcards using photos from the iPhone/iPad albums and by recording custom accompanying audio using the built-in audio recorder. This is a great way to tailor your child's learning experience to his or her interests and cultural contexts. A few examples are pictures of relatives, friends, teachers, pets, favorite toys or meals, and "Grandpa's house", etc.   Making new cards with your children will be a fun and rewarding experience.


You will also love the “share” feature where you can share your custom cards with other iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users, and spread the fun.  WordTotz comes with a really simple interface to connect over two iPhones over Bluetooth and exchange cards.


In addition, WordTotz comes with over 100 built-in cards containing vivid full color pictures and audio cues, which help young children identify and learn words for everyday items around them - Milk, Piano, Dog, Numbers, etc.


For pre-schoolers, we now have a “Spell Wizard” that spells out the title on each card.


WordTotz is a toddler tested and approved app. Enjoy your toddlers' journey of discovery as they navigate easily through the cards, recognize a picture, click on the title to hear the sound, and learn to correlate the picture to a name.
